ABOUT US

At DSS, our primary goal is to meet the diverse needs of families while ensuring the safety and welfare of children. We take pride in offering a comprehensive range of services aimed at promoting positive outcomes for all parties involved. Our team of professionals include Social Workers, Mental Health Practitioners, Family Support Workers, Psychotherapists, and Substance Misuse Workers, all with specialized expertise in their respective fields.

Working alongside Local Authority's, CAFCASS, the Courts, and Solicitors, we produce high-quality reports that effectively document the extensive work undertaken and the remarkable progress achieved. When it comes to supporting families, we understand the significance of tailoring our services to address the specific requirements of each case. Our experienced professionals apply their expertise and knowledge to develop comprehensive plans that prioritize the best interests of the children involved. From assessments and interventions to therapeutic support and counselling, we strive to provide a holistic approach that takes into account all relevant factors.

With fully equipped family time rooms strategically located across the region, we prioritize facilitating meaningful activities between children and their non-resident parent or carer with the option of extended hours to accommodate the needs of the family. These well-appointed spaces provide a comfortable and safe environment for families to engage in important bonding experiences and promote healthy relationships. These facilities include a sensory room, early years room, adolescent room with homework facilities, fully functioning kitchen to prepare meals, fully functioning bathroom, arts & crafts area, and much more.

We offer therapeutic intervention through our team of psychotherapists who are active members of the esteemed British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. With extensive experience working with both adults and children, our psychotherapist is well-versed in addressing a range of issues that individuals and families may face. These include but are not limited to: Parental separation, Trauma, Loss & Bereavement, ADHD, ASD, Substance Misuse Addiction & Co-Dependency, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Abuse.

At DSS, we understand the complexity and sensitivities surrounding these issues, and we are committed to addressing them with the utmost professionalism, empathy, and expertise. Our independent social workers have a wealth of experience in the social care sector and are committed to providing compassionate and practical support to our clients.

Through our comprehensive range of services and our passionate team, we aim to not only alleviate immediate concerns but also foster long-term personal growth and resilience. We are passionate about creating lasting positive change in the lives of our clients, equipping them with the skills, support, and resources necessary to embrace their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
